Privacy notice

Updated 24 September 2026.

This notice describes data handling in the Alpaca3D desktop application, published by Alpaca3D. Privacy and support contact: stanislavmaraculin@gmail.com.

Local projects and files

Mesh editing, UV processing and texture baking run locally. Project files are saved to locations you choose. The optional Blender and Maya bridges exchange data with applications on your computer through a local connection. Models and project contents are not included in application analytics.

Optional analytics

The application asks for your consent before enabling Google Analytics/Firebase analytics. When enabled, analytics records application usage, version information, operation timing and limited error-location information, using a randomly generated analytics identifier. It does not include model contents, file names or file paths, email addresses, screenshots or arbitrary error messages. Google may also process technical connection and device information through its SDK. You can change your analytics choice in the application. Turning it off removes the locally stored analytics identifier and analytics cookies; this does not itself erase data already received by the analytics service.

Feedback

If you submit feedback, Alpaca3D sends your message, selected topic, application version, any optional reply email and the attachments you select to the feedback service. Attachments may contain personal information or project contents, so include only material you intend to send. Feedback is used to investigate problems, respond to questions and improve the application. Submitted feedback records and attachments are scheduled to expire from the active feedback service after 90 days. Server logs and backup retention must be considered separately when handling deletion requests.

Updates and network requests

The Microsoft Store edition receives application updates through Microsoft Store. Other editions contact the Alpaca3D update service when checking for or downloading updates. Network services receive connection information needed to respond, such as an IP address. Local editing does not require an Alpaca3D account.

Website tutorial videos

Tutorial pages embed YouTube videos using youtube-nocookie.com (privacy-enhanced mode). Loading a player connects your browser to YouTube; playing a video may involve additional processing by Google. This is separate from the optional website analytics setting. You can also open the video directly on YouTube. See Google’s privacy policy.

Questions

For privacy questions or requests concerning your data, contact stanislavmaraculin@gmail.com. You can also use Feedback in the application and include a reply email if you want a response. Do not include passwords or other secrets.
